DESCRIPTION:The Online Methodological course on Applications of multilevel models to research policy and higher education studies is organized by Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) and will take place on online platform 19th of October 2020 and 26th of October 2020\nDeadline for request of participation: 9th of October 2020\nCourse main objectives:\nIntroduction of basic concepts and rationales of multilevel analysis.\nUnderstanding the applicability of the method\, specifically to datasets in research policy and higher education studies.\nKnow and practice the basic steps for conducting analysis with statistical software.\nDeveloping competence in interpreting results and driving implications for analysis and policy.\nTarget audience: \nSenior scientist\, early career researchers\nPhD students at the last phase of their training\nPeople from the policy making level wishing to extend their analytical capabilities\nResearch intermediaries (e.g. research association like Science Europe)\nCourse prerequisites:\nSpecific interest to Multilevel Modelling\nKnowledge of basic principle of statistics\, as well as of standard regression techniques (OLS)\nGood working knowledge of statistical software (Stata)\nCall for application\nForm for submission\nContact person: Barbara Antonioli Mantegazzini
